2016 BSS Auction
Saturday, October 1, 2016

Our annual Auction is the biggest fundraiser of the year at BSS – proceeds go to the operating budget of the school and help to provide educational programming as well as to control the cost of tuition.

2016 Auction Highlights

Logisitcs

Doors open at 5:30 PM.  Pre-Registered guess will check in and pick up their bid numbers and proceed to the Fall Festival Area (Gym) and can check out the Silent Auction (in cafeteria) and Super Silent Auction Items (in Gym), grab a beverage, and enjoy appetizers while you mingle.

If you purchase your tickets at the door (price increases after September 28), you will register, pre-swipe your card for easy check out, get your mobile bidding link, and your bid number.

Attire is as dressy or casual as you would like - or go with the theme and be a Fall Festival as you can!

Reservations

Tickets are $30/person ($35/person after September 28) or sponsor a table of 8 for $350.  Reserved Tables will be color coded and clearly marked as reserved for your group.   Registering ahead helps ensure there will be plenty of seating for everyone!

Food

Wear your favorite comfy pants to the #BSSauction! Chris Hanken and the staff from Lake Pointe Grill will be serving Chicken Parmesan with Pasta, Italian House Salad, and Garlic Bread ... and Tiramisu for dessert!  And yes, the beloved Taco Gringo will still have their nacho bar for appetizers!

Raffles

Enjoy our fun Raffles! Pre-order tickets online and they will be placed in the raffle boxes for you. Raffles include:  The Money Tree (tree of gift cards), the Parish Raffle, Tuition Raffle, and the Barrel of Booze (literally - a big wheelbarrow full of alcohol).  You must be present at the Auction to win the Tuition Raffle and Barrel of Booze.  In addition, we have the Wall of Wine - Purchase a bottle of wine for $10, and have a chance to win $100!

Live Auction

Amazing items will be up for bid in the main Festival Hall (aka gym)!    Sample Packages include:

  • Hamilton Chicago Trip:  2 Tickets to see "Hamilton" in Chicago, along with accommodations at the Marriott, a $100 dinner gift certificate and 6 bottles of Federal wine.
  • Puppy:  AKC Labrador Retriever Puppy and Wellness Package.
  • Vacations:  Condo get-aways in desirable vacation locations such as Fort Myers, Hilton Head & Hawaii
  • Sports Tickets:  Bears, Cubs, Cardinals, Illini & More
  • Blessed Sacrament Church Pews:  Reserved pews for your family for those special events - Christmas & Easter

Silent & "Super" Silent Auction

New this year, some items are just too good to pass up, but we shorted up the live auction to keep things moving.  Check out these oh, so special Super Silent items featured in the Gym.

Our silent auction continues to receive fantastic donations from our amazing volunteers and donor.  Check them out live and in person n the cafeteria, but then do your bidding from the convenience of the gym with our new mobile bidding!  All silent auction bidding will be done online, so bring your phone, tablet or computer.  Wifi will be provided.  Receive text updates when you get outbid.  Up your bid right then and there.  Make a list of what you are following for a quick peak on your status.  Mobile bidding will also prevent any "Bids are Closed" injuries!

Witches Party

Once again BSS' Favorite Witches (Michelle Calucchia, Kara Huston, Terese Laughlin and Gail Wilson) will host up to 50 witches for their Witches Ball on Saturday, October 22 at the Calucchia home.   Witch attire is required, and food and witches brew will be served.  Sign up for a $50 donation either online now or at the auction.
